Strobe Lights

I'm looking to put a corner strobe system in my truck. Wondering if any of you have recomendations? Also, i heard the the tires on my truck (Bridgeston Dueller AT) were possibly being recalled by GM for poor treadwear? Wondering if there is any vallidity to this...

Thanks!

Re: Strobe Lights

I have a set of strobes that I bought from Canadian Tire for $20. They both light up at the same time though so you might be looking for some that go 1 at a time and those were like $50 plus another $100 for the module at Motoring Moz.

Re: Strobe Lights

I would definately go with Whelen's CSP660 4 strobe hide-a-way kit. If you want quality and performance, use Whelen. I've been helping install emergency lights for 3 years and the guy I work for used to equip all the Ga. State Patrol cars, he was the shop foreman. I have a 6 strobe kit in my truck for almost 5 years ahd haven't had a single problem out of it yet. If you have any other questions about emergency lights, please feel free to contact me.

Also remember. When purchasing strobes, you get what you pay for. No questions asked. I've installed all brands and the cheaper ones just don't stand up.

I looked those up and they look sweet. How much would it cost for 2 strobes??

Usually when we do a 4 strobe kit with that same power supply for Georgia Power, we have done it in as little time as 30 minutes. But for a first timer, its really not hard. You must pull your cables, and drill a 1" hole in the donor light for the strobe bulb, mount your pack (usually under the seat is a good location) and wire it and the switches up. I would say 2, maybe 3 hours tops for a first time, good looking clean install. Just be sure wherever you mount your supply, the cables have to be long enough to reach the bulb!

I'm not sure about the prices, usually if you want to get them without going through a retailer, try e-bay. They have really great prices on the kits and you can usually find a 2 bulb kit without a problem. We charge whatever the kit costs, then $50 install.
