Heater Fan Runs Slow or Not at all??freaker 11-21-2005, 06:53 AM I have a 1990 Corsica and have heater problems. I have replaced the resistor and the fan switch but still no fan? Sunday night in desperation I tapped the fan motor and it came on but very slow air movement. With frost on the windshield these mornings it would be great to have it fixed? Any suggestions? My last guess is get a new fan / motor assembly ..... Thanks in Advance :banghead: jsgold 11-21-2005, 04:45 PM If you hooked 12volts to motor and it turns slow it sure sounds like the culprit. I am pretty sure though it won't be too expensive to fix. freaker 11-22-2005, 08:00 AM jsgold, Thanks for the info, I did hook up a 12 volt source and it didn't run at all first but after a fiddle with the connections it ran great. When I reinstalled it again, nothing. A few taps with the hammer and it came on but with little force, maybe brushes in the motor sticking? I just went to the local scrap yard and picked up a "previously enjoyed" fan motor and will install that on the week-end. Will let y'all know if it works? If not ... get a BIGGER hammer!
