Well, i just changed the plugs and wires and gapped em correctly. Im misfiring once I hit around 15 psi at about 5k rpms, Im thinking its a distributer or coil pack. Anyone else having the same problem or had the same problem. Also, if I push the gas to like 10psi, I have no problems in any gear.

Have you run a balance test to determine which cylinder?

What brand of plugs are you using, had the same problem at one time due to the plugs that were being used. However I would think that it would show up before the RPM's that your indicating.

Well, I had to drive to FL today, so nothing yet...using iridium plugs and same deal but with a better idle. How do I do that test?

Buy NGK 6's gapped at .028, then make sure the wires aren't eroding

It's because you have iridium plugs. My brother had the same thing about a year ago. Switch to oem plugs and it will go away. We didn't believe it either but that what the problem was it kinda feels like the car shutters at higher speeds right?

buy NGK BPR7ES plugs and gap them at 26, this will fix it. Then if it is still persistant you should look at your plug wires and make sure there are no holes around the bottom of them, if there are you need new wires. 90% of the time its not the coil packs.

I gave my mechanic a call and he said it might be the TPS or a camchaft sensor, does this sound right?

Also I found out after like 5500 rpms its fine, no bogging or misfiring.

your mechanic could be correct, but it is most likely an ignition problem. Make sure the wires are put on in the correct order, its usually the smallest and cheapest thing that ends up being the problem. Let me know it the plugs fix it, they should only be about 8 dollars from your local NAPA.

Plugs I put in I gapped correctly, still the same problem...checked all the wires and their fine, im putting in a new TPS tomorrow to see if it fixes the problem.
