Silverado stalling...at idle, runs great down highway

Little help please. My 2001 Silverado 2500 HD runs great on highway or when motor is revved, however it wants to simply die at an idle/stop light. Funny thing is when it dies my radio stations and clock rest or default as well...suspect battery or alternator...any thoughts????

I would suspect a bad alternetor and really weak battery. Sounds like the charging system can't keep up with the comptuer's needs.

Go to VatoZone and let 'em check your alternator and battery

It might have been a bad connection at one of the battery posts and they fixed it or just moved it and got a good connection.
I would check the posts for corrosion and tighten the little bolts.
