2.3 to 2.4

Hey everyone, got a question, i know it sounds dumb but still. My dad is really good at working on cars and i got some money since im only 17 and i work all the time. But would a 2.4L Twin Cam engine and tranny fit in a 95 z24 cavalier? What all would i need? And would this be expensive to do if i found a junked car with good engine and tranny?

if its more of a tick then a knock, it probably is your lifters, thats nothing to major, but if its a solid knock, its probably a rod, like you said

If you cant swap in the same engine as you are taking out, I wouldnt bother. It will be more hassle than its worth to swap. Either way good luck.

Re: 2.3 to 2.4

Actually a 2.4 swap shouldn't be hard at all. If memory serves, they use all the same mounts. I mean, they're the same BASIC motor. Hell, you should be able to easily swap in an older HO or W41, too.
