Why won't my QX4 stay idling while cleaning throttle body?

Did just fine on my 300ZX, but the QX4 just dies instantly. Am I retarded or is ithis just the way it is with the Infiniti's?

Clean it with throttle body cleaner while the engine is off. Or is it not idling correctly after you cleaned it?

Actually you can clean TB's while the engine is on. You're supposed to spray little at a time, maybe you flooded the TB? or maybe it is the infinitis... LOL

Probably could, but I wouldn't want that gunk going through my engine. Even though its loosened with the solvent its still pretty much a tar consistency when you clean it and it will stick on the way through. OP, buy a bottle of throttle body cleaner which is made for this and follow the directions on the can. It also usually requires some brushing with a soft toothbrush as well on both sides of the throttle plate.
