Re: vtec

Start by reading many of the posts here. 87 octane will do just fine unless the compression has be upped. Those things you need to do is called maintenance.

Get yourself a Manual. Any auto parts store have after market manuals. It will tell you most of the things you need to know. My wife has an Acura with a Vtech engine and my daughter has an Accord with the dame type engine. My wife uses high octane fuel (mfrs instruction) while my daughter uses regular. Advice: try keeping you fuel injectors clean.

Re: vtec

b18a/b will do fine on 87. b16/ b18c1/b18c5 needs 91+ on the assumption of stock compression and ignition timing are in factory specs.
