Re: time for a new intake manifold!!!

so why are you getting a new intake mani? If this is a mod for power, there are a lot better things you can do because an intake manifold isn't really going to help much w/o other mods to support it.

My thoughts exactly. A new intake manifold wont do anything unless you are running quite a bit of boost. Unless you have a heavily modified car, I wouldnt bother, just go down to the local junk yard and pick up a stock one.

Re: time for a new intake manifold!!!

doesn't your supercharger take the place of the intake manifold? The JRSC designed for my car takes the place of the mani......

and if you're upgrading the amount of fuel into your car, why aren't you doing a fuel system upgrade?

I smell BS...

no the supercharger doesn't replace the manifold... and i am going to be doing that i have a new fuel stuff ordered but the thing is you can upgrade all of that stuff but if you cant get it into the engine fast enough for the engines demand it does nothing other then put preasure on the lines and normally couses leaks... so bigger throttle body to eliminate the leak problem!

1. If your dad is a "drag racer mecanic" why dont you ask him?
2. A 2.2 has ONE head.
3. You'll need bigger injectors, fuel pump, and fuel controller of some sort before you will need a bigger intake manifold.
What kind of S/C do you have? Lets see a link.

No one is going to know everything about everything. People are good in some areas and not others or some people are just starting out. That doesnt make anyone less of a person.
