Bov

Does anyone know where I can find a picture of the stock BOV on an FD? I can find diagrams but when I look at the engine its not were the diagram says. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find an actual picture of the BOV.

Re: Bov

Well to begine with its not a BOV (Blow-off Valve) rather a bypass valve as the air is recurculated back into the intake.

It is located near the airbox on the right hand side. Its just a black tube with a small vacume line running to it.

Well I stand corrected. I have a J-Spec RX7 so the airbox will be on the left side. I see the black hose. I actually see 3 blck hoses other than the rubber intake tubes. There are 2 of the 3 hoses that have vacuum lines goin to em. There are small small lookin BOV lookin things on em. Cant read what it says bec its in Japanese. Ill look on the net some more of some stock engine pics.

Re: Bov

The intake is on the left hand side if you are looking at the front of the motor, right if your sitting behind it.

USDM and JDM engine placement is the same in each car. :P

You said the airbox was on the right side. My airbox is on the left side.
