SLR MCLAREN doors on a cavy?
I have been thinking about this for a while and think i have a way to do it. I think two U hinges on each door attatched to the windshield pillar and one or two gas shocks, much like from the lambo kits, would work. There should be enough structure in the windshield pillars to support the weight, but i am worried about the need to reinforce the door. I wouldn't want the door to twist and shatter the window. But it would be pretty easy to cut some with a plasma cutter and weld in some tube stock around the window to stop the twisting. What do you guys this?

im not even sure how them doors open, they might be lambo style or they might be gull wing style (like that car in 'back to the future' (i cant spell it so i will just say it starts with a D.)). pretty sure they are lambo style tho.

man a flux capacitor would be sweet to put in a cavy, and if your talking about the new SLR yes they are lambo style, but if your talking about a old slr they are the seagull style.... man thats it im gunna find a flux capacitor on ebay or somthing , imagine if it was a cavy instad of a delorean, also did you know the guy that made the delorean was a cocaine frrrreeeaaakkk? and thats why the company went to shit , he snorted all the profits

Re: SLR MCLAREN doors on a cavy?
a flux capacitor is just a capacitor with flux in it to increase resistance and ultimately safety through the capacitor. more insulation with a bigger capacitor on the same value as a non flux.

Yeah that is also part of the reason that the Delorean is bullet proof as well.

Re: SLR MCLAREN doors on a cavy?
imagine if you had a delorean wouldnt that be sweet? id set it up with a deasil engine and make it look like the back to the future one then covert it to a bio-deasil and put the fuel in where the food processor on the top of the back is like in the movie that would be awsome

Re: SLR MCLAREN doors on a cavy?
Yeah If I had one that is probably what I would do with it. I actually know where one is at. I think it was abandoned because it is always sitting in front of this old run down building and if I recall correctly I don't believe there are any tags on it.
