Timing Chain on a 1996 2.2

I have a 1996 2.2, and i need to change the timing chain. you can hear it clicking, and when i took it into the dealership to have the codes checked out, they said that that needed to be done and wanted 800 dollars. so were gonna do it ourselves. but does anyone know how much is involved and what problems we may encounter. and if anyone has a pic of where it is located that would help also. Thanks

Dont know anything about it, but autozone vehicle repair guides work great. Here the one for your car - > http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBr...3d801abc00.jsp

I'd recommend getting a Haynes manual over the autozone guides. While they can give you a basic idea of what needs to be done, I've found major descrepencies in the past between what they say and what the shop manual says. A lot of time the Autozone guides are just a generic how-to based off of the engine, not specific to the vehicle.
