2003 Explorer Remote Starter / Anti-theft problem

Took the time to register and post this after reading some great information on this forum.

I recently purchased a used 2003 Explorer, 29K miles. Vehicle had an aftermarket alarm which was malfunctioning, had replaced with a remote starter & keyless entry system. The shop installed an Audiovox Pursuit PRO-9275T system, which works great for remote starting & door lock/unlock. The problem is the system will not disarm the vehicle's stock anti-theft system - if the doors are locked with the keypad or driver's side lock switch, then unlocked with the new remote, the horn sounds and lights flash upon opening a door. The key must then be used to disarm. Does anyone know if there might be a problem with the install, or is this Audiovox system not capable of disarming the anti-theft system?

Thanks,
Josh

Your best option would be to take it back to the place that installed it.
