dash questions.

how hard would it be to swap the climate controls and the head unit locations on a 96 cav? making it like the 00 cavs?

like instead of having the climate controls on the top and head unit on the bottom (96) how hard would it be ot change them around so that the head unit is on top like in the 2000+ cav?

would it even be possible to change them aroud?

Re: dash questions.

It should be possible with alot of tinkering. Alot of the in dash harnising points would need to be moved. Dont quote me on any of this but from what I have seen behind the dash everything is wired and hosed and didnt notice any other hard points besides the actual bases of each indavidual unit.

In short and less technical. If you can move both the unit and climate control hard points and relocate the wiring along with it it should be a snap. Yeah, all that and it should be a snap.

so pretty much all i would need is a 2000 dash peice, and to find away to switch the mounting crap around? like could i just get some of the crap for a wrecked 2000? only reason i wanna do this is becasue the head unit is in a bad place its low as hell and im always messing with it, i havent acctually taken the dash off so i dont know what to expect.

Re: dash questions.

Yeah, it should make things much easier if you had the radio bezel and maybe some of the guts from a 2000+ dash.
