I don't think the motor or tranny will bolt up. you will have to cut motor mounts and move them. And for the tranny i have no clue.

Re: quick question about cavy parts

ok since that combo wont work, would it be able to hold a newer (late 90's, early 00's cavy motor and 5 speed, and would it be alot of work to make it into a 5 speed from an auto interior wise and witht he firewall.

Re: quick question about cavy parts

well im thinking about putting a 3.8 s/c in my car. It will bolt up to my 5 speed tranny from what i have heard. And im pretty sure it will. And you have the same body style as me, so yeah theres enough room for the swap. Its just a timly matter. ohh yeah good luck finding a tranny for a 2nd gen cavy. i have only found one and they wanted 700 bucks for it.. and it was still in the car. Why dont u just keep the auto and beef it up? or get a newer tranny that will hold the 3.8 power and customize the mounts.
