1991 Honda Accord EXR

Hey everyone, Im probably going to be buying my buddy's 1991 Honda Accord Exr it its a perfact body, Hes hot the full exhaust system from headers back, and he just put in a 2000 Honda Accord ex engine in it. with 60,000 km. It just needs a few things. When it is started it goes from 1000PRM to 1500PRM up and down. He told me it needs a new sensor. It needs a new power steering belt. And it has 2 exhaust leeks one neer the back and one near the front. Anyone have any suggestions. IM going to bring it to a local garage to get it cheaked out, before I buy it I am going to find out exactly what it needs and the price to get it all fixed then I will offer him a price. Anyone help me out?

Re: 1991 Honda Accord EXR

If you live somewhere that requires an emissions inspection, it might not be compliant. Keep that in mind when considering price.

I was at a dealer not long ago looking at a Prelude that had EVERYTHING done to it, CAI, ported and polished intake, controller, adjustable FPR, header, exhaust, etc. They couldn't give it away. All that crap has to come off to get a sticker.

Here, as with any area that has to comply with federal standards, if the current configuration doesn't match the emissions label under the hood, it's an automatic fail.

Engine swaps usually really complicate things. Since you said EXR, which I assume is a Canadian model, and km's, I assume you live in Canada, so I have no idea what enforcement you gotta comply with.
