Unhappy Crap i think i messde up my a/c =(

I had a freind who took out parts of his car and sanded it and sprayed painted it, and it looked pretty nice and customized. I tried to do it myseld on the '89 s-10, and got most of it out easily, but on the dash with the switches for the air i kinda tried to pull it out but there was a thick little metal wire that i guess was used for something (dunno if it was for low med high are or the temp) and stupid me i cut it off because i wanted to spray it so bad. now it looks like crap and kinda regret doing it. can anyone tell me if i made a big mistake or if its something i can take to the dealer and have easily fixed?

That metal wire is for switching from cold to hot (it controls the heater core valve) You will have to pull the entire cable and install a new one... Dude, not to be critical, but between letting your brakes not being replaced, spraying a lubricant on said brakes, and now cutting a wire you didn't even know what it did, you're destroying your truck... Instead of being so impatient with things, why don't you sit down and learn?

I don't know anything about automotive, but at least I don't do anything wacky that might destroy my truck. (Just joking)

ino ino if my truck was a dog id be arrested for animal cruelty...at first when i got it i didnt really care for it (it was old, has a dent on the side, paints screwed up, the list goes on...) but I decided to see it as a fixer upper. Actually my freind has the same thing as me, but stick an the 2.5 version or whatever, and i got jealous and decided im going to make mine better than his

Always remember...Regardless of the car... If you treat it right, it will treat you right... Some people think that's a load..but in my experience it's the truth...
