New Cluster

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/T-200...ayphotohosting just wondering if this would fit in my car? I want a tach and my car does not have one. Would I need anything special to make the tach part work?

EDIT: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99...11467103QQrdZ1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVY...11970424QQrdZ1 would these work on my 2000?

Re: New Cluster

I dont think so, it would need the hookup to the ignition whatever and if you dont have a tach stock, why would they put the hook up? Sorry I am so tired I can barely focus on the screen, so if I'm not making sense, I'm sorry.

The guages with a tac WILL work. My car did not come with a stock tac and I put in a stock cluster with a tac and it works for me. As for the headlights, be prepared to replace the front bumper and fenders for those to fit.

Using my digital camera, I did a short recording of my stock tac working. The car originally did not come with a tac and I did nothing extra to make it work. Please note that this is a base model 2.2 with shitty mods on it so please do not laugh if you watch the speedometer.

Also please ignore the abs light. It comes one when it wants...I can never catch it at a good time to try and get a code on it.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!! JK. How hard was it to put in the new cluster? If you put a new one in, would i have to do anything with the mileage? Any extra things to put/plug in since it will have a tach?

It was easy. Just like putting in an aftermarket radio...only you go the extra step and remove the two screws holding the cluster in. The new one will plug in directly with no modification. Also no you don't have to do anything with the milage. The 00 and above models do not store the milage in the cluseter like the 99 and below models do, so when you hook up the new one it displays your correct milage.

I bought my cluster from ebay for about $30. Have you ever taken your dash apart? Shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes. Its really easy.

OK take your dash apart just like you would if you were installing a cd player. Only thing that is different is that there are two screws that hold down the cluster. Remove them and you can pull your cluster out. Unhook the wires in the back and put the new one in its place. The wires harness plugs directly in..no custimization needed. I would then turn my car on and make sure the tac works properly and if it does put the cluster back in place and put your dash back together. Nothing to it!

Nope. Its a direct replacement. You don't need to buy anything but the cluster.
