LED Lights
Has anyone installed the Jamstrait http://www.jamstrait.com/ LED lights in there Cavalier?
I was thinking of switching all the lights, brake, turnsignal, etc over to the LED's but before I plop down $5-$10 per bulb I wanted to see if anyone else has done it with success. I do not want to bother with the load equalizers if I do not have to.
I have a 1999 Z24
Thanks

Re: LED Lights
It could work, but LEDs need almost no power to turn on, so you might risk having the lights on all the time...Ive heard of that with people who put LED dome lights in...the light is always on, day and night...

Re: LED Lights
It can still suck power through the lines, and, like I said, requires very minimal power to light up...

Re: LED Lights
Load equalizers are not needed, if the flasher doesn't work right (flashes fast etc.) replace it with a Tridon HD 12 light unit. Problem solved. That is of course if its not in the computer itself, I have never checked on my car just the fact that you can hear it click tells me that it is replaceable.

Re: LED Lights
for bulb size just look in ur owners manual..or go on the web and look it up.
and to the guy who said they need minimal power to run.. is beond correct.. u can run a 18 leds (circle break light is whats we hooked it up to) off of a 9 volt batter..yeah its great how so many can run off a little 9 volt battery.

Oh I totally agree. I see them and I shake my head. Never have looked good on any car I've seen, that's for sure.

Well I gave it a try I bought the standard Jamstraight brand at auto zone and returned them for a refund the next day, the lights worked but they were significantly dimmer. Maybe I'll try the hyperbright bulbs.
