wow, does it still move in 2nd? Can you drive in 2nd gear? If so, it's probably just the linkage components that are screwed up somehow. Taking it somewhere to be fixed shouldn't be too bad if the problem's not actually IN the tranny.

yeah it still will go in 2nd gear ......so that mean its the shift linkage???

I think so. I can't think of anything that could go wrong from within the tranny to make that happen. It must be the actual shifter itself not working properly somehow.

eew, fluids never good, when theres not supposed to be. What color is the fluid? Is the clutch hydrualic, if not then the fluid might be coming straight out of the tranny. No good man, tell her to stop reaming it into th egears lol, jk, i hate working on tranny/clutch/shift crap. GL

OOOOH, it could be clutch fluid(not sure what year Sentras starting coming with hydro-clutches. But if it is, it might mean that you can't disengage the clutch to change gears. If it's clutch fluid, it should be cheaper to fix than a shifter linkage anyway.

it could be water from the A/C, or fluid from the turn signal
