Question car is dying

my 3.1l a/t is surging when not on the gas, and also dies when turing a cornor or stoping. it has died many times going into drive way and slowing down to a stop. previous owner had similar problem when slowing down to cross RR tracks and found it to be a relay but relay seems to be fine. what could be the cars problem? (i got a new alt. and batt is 5years old but still putting out a stong charge) cloged fuel filter? bad ignation coil? i have a large amp hooked up to batt. but i took it off and still having the problem. should i look into a bigger batt? to see if it might help out?

What year is your car? Need to advise. Can be many things. Does the car shake and shudder when stalling or does it simply stall out? Re start OK?

Your problem could be that your + (POS) battery post or + cable is shorting out on your hood, your fender, or the frame when you turn a corner? This happened to me more then once and will definatly cause the engine to sputter or surge. Solution, fasten the battery down and make sure that the pos terminal / cable can not come into contact with any metal parts! Hope this helps!
