I was looking around to see where i could get a new tranny at, and ive seen a few places say the 91-98 tranny is also compatible with the Z32 N/A tranny. Is this true or what?

the good forum to actaully get some real info on this is Freshalloy.com which is probably the site that started most of this. a guy went out of his way to help all of us SR guys with the weak tranny's took it to one of the tuner shops and now that shop is going to be making production adapter plate kits to make the Z31 and Z32 trans 5 and 6 speed trans fit on our SRs...so that is were your info is getting mixed up..read up on it on freshalloy.com they have 8 pages on the subject. i guess the new Z31 trans on the SR is pretty badass...kits are suppose to go into production soon, and for around 800 bucks...(plus cost of tranny)...so if your going for 400 to 500whp then this might be your thing..

The Z32/RB25 Transmission will fit with an Adapter plate or New Bellhousing

The Z31 Transmission should work with a new front bellhousing.

800 bucks for an adapater plate?

lmfao

please drop your pants, bend over, and spread you cheeks so you can make it easier for them to screw u in the ass

a good honest 400 or 500hp that you drive hard will break a RB25 transmission or even a T-56. Its not so much the power level as it is how the driver operates it. If your banging hard shifts everytime with the power on and getting back on at 100% throttle it will tear up the transmission sooner or later no matter what it is.

Take that 800 bucks and buy a few junkyard transmissions and consider yourself happy.

im not sure if you ever read the link that i put up, but that would explain everything...its not just and adapter plate, its new driveshaft, b&m shifter, and what not. so your really not getting ripped off...and the Z32 tranny is a beefier tranny, therefore will handle the abused of "banging" through the gears...plus some Z32/33 trannies had dual syncros :loser:

Kuah has done mulitiple track days and consistintly run in the low 11s (high 10s now) on his daily driven Z32 and as far as I know is yet to have a problem with his transmission. Of coarse if you power shift a transmission it will break but unless your running sintered metal unsprung clutches and driving like a 2F2F reject the Z Tranny will hold 500HP+.

Also 800$ for a driveshaft, shifter, and Adapterplate is not a bad deal at all.

Just buy a Viper spec T-56 and make it fit. :D

even though i know ghostchild is joking, i will comment anyways...normal cost of a viper t-56 around 2500...z33 tranny 500-1000 junk yard (depending on miles ect) on top of the cost of the t-56 you'll also need another adapter plate, ect ect ect...

It helps to keep your facts straight chief... you originally asked about a Z32 N/A transmission.
