In the past few days it seems like my car was having a little harder time starting. This morning the car acted as if it had no electricity, the clock even reset but then the car started. Since then the car still seems to start rough but it starts.

Any ideas?

What year is your car? Have you checked the battery lately? if the clocks reset, it might mean that there is bad signal coming from you battery. this is the most likely way. check the battery and the battery connectors.

First I'd get a meter and check battery voltage then I'd whip off the battery terminal clamps to make sure there's none of that powdery crud in them.

Next I'd take off the distrubutor cap and check that and the rotor for wear and more of that powdery crud.

That usually does it but if not...........................

If your car is hard to start when cold and runs rough .............
but starts and runs ok when warmed up ...............
and you find you need to use the gas pedal to start it when cold,

then I would suspect the coolant temperature sensor which tells the ecu to richen up the mixture when cold. Might pay to have a quick look at the connection on this sensor to see if it is ok or has fallen off. Not sure if this would bring up a MIL as I've only run into this problem on my old Mitsi'.

My p-10 kept stalling at weird times. After replacing everything short of the engine I was told that reseting the ecu might help. So I did and it fixed the problem. If you have a p-10 the ecu is in the lower part of your center console. You can reset it be removing the lower panel on the passenger side and turning the screw next to the ecu clockwise, leaving it there for 3-5 seconds, then turning it completely back counterclokwise. Hope this helps!
