Evo IX years.

Does anyone know how many years the IX will be in production before the X comes? I know the VIII ran from 2003-2005. Will it be another three years for the Evo 9? I am asking because I am interested in buying an Evo IX MR in the near future. I know they go quick. As do all Evos. I wanted to get an 05 MR but by that time, they were all gone. I am only buying new.

Re: Evo IX years.

The new Evo IX will only be out for one year because the Evo X is set to drop as a '07 model and it will be based on the new redesigned Lancer Sedan GS platform.
Probably the 4G93 that has powered every Evo model since the Evo I (Oct. '92) will not be returning on the X, and there is a rumor surrounding the inclusion of paddle shifters instead of the normal manual gearbox.

The evo X is ugly IMO. Mitsu's got a good thing going and I don't think the evo X is up to par

Expected in the US by 2008

Re: Evo IX years.

The one you posted looks pretty cool and I like it since it looks like a traditional evo. theone I posted looks like a galant IMO and not evo worthy
