Angry Equinox Interior Fading/chipping

I'm curious to find out if anyone owning an Equinox is experiencing discoloration near the door handles, gear shifter, and a/c controls. Look Closely!! It DOESN'T look like it's "Chipping" at all, due to the fact that I cannot actually get it to chip, and there are no paint particles anywhere around. It was taken up to Bill Schultz Chevrolet where they advised it wasn't something that they could NOT take care of-- it was "Normal Wear & Tear". At thirteen thousand miles??!?! They also went on to explain that I may have just gotten a "rotten apple" when buying this vehicle (which keep in mind was from their dealership). They compared to a few other Equinoxes on their lot, and said no others were having this problem. (well, duh if they're brand new!)

Anyways, I'm very unhappy right now, and I'm making appointments to get a second opinion. And am also corresponding with a GM representative.

If anyone else is having this problem please let me know, so maybe I can fight another case, and back my own up.

Ken

Re: Equinox Interior Fading/chipping

We have the same issue with our Equinox and I don't know what to do with it. If there is a ways to buy new pieces at a reasonable price then I would think of doing that, but I don't know of a way to do that yet.

There is a TSB for this problem. TSB for radio buttons & dials. It's number 05-08-44-029A.
