Galant Transmission

I just pulled out the motor of my 1992 Galant and the Converter seem to have come out and I am having a hard time getting it back into place, once I atempt fasten the Engine to the Transmission it gets very hard and the Engine then will not turn. Is there a certain technique that is used to put the Converter back into place ? I would appreciate your seggestion and your response a.s.a.p. Thank you. Earl
