Highest N/A HP on stock motordavid-b 10-17-2005, 10:37 PM Hey all; Was wondering: what is the fastest N/A second gen car still on the stock motor? I was looking on DSMTuners, and I found this: "the highest dyno numbers to date for a 2gnt is 159.6 whp from some guy on 2gnt.com. he had a completely built motor, with all the goodies. that right there is motivation enough to not stay NA imo" That doesn't seem like much. Yeah yeah, they're slow... I get the point. But I mean comeon, this can't be right, can it? Only 159whp. Anyone here have any dyno times for me? I'm going to beat you all. I'm now looking at a tune and dyno in mid January. With the holidays approaching, working retail and going to school sucks. So I held it off alittle more. I'll have some good numbers, and new mods for you all. crunchymilk55 10-17-2005, 10:45 PM those motors just don't make power man...there's no way around is besides FI. The guy who made those numbers had a fully built motor too. l_eclipse_l 10-17-2005, 10:49 PM depressing.......do you remember what the hp was at the crank? gthompson97 10-17-2005, 11:09 PM for some reason i don't think that's entirely right. Kuhn 10-18-2005, 12:01 AM I think that could be right... I've heard that 200hp at the crank is about the highest the 420A can go NA. 160 (assuming a manual trans) at the crank might be around 190 or 200 at the wheels. If you're going to get forged internals, just get 8.8:1 compression instead of 12:1 and turbo! I just can't understand doing all that work to run with an SVT focus... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
