2000 sl2 I have tried hammering the backside, but they wont move. I think they are rusted on. Do you need to take off the axle nut? Do I need a puller? I dont remember having trouble on my buick.

Mine fall off. Try soaking the back side with WD-40. I've had difficulty removing entire wheels from cars up north. I swear you could remove all the lug nuts and drive them all year in that condition.

You don't need to remove the axle nut or anything else except the caliper which you probably have already done.

screw WD-40, use PB Blaster. and hit harder, in different directions(sometimes pounding them INWARD works better)
