Question I want my SLE to be clean shaven

I have a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3L Ext. truck and i am new to these boards as you will see by my post count, but I am very interesting in getting my truck looking cleaner.

I want to know if any of you guys know how to take off the side "SLE" badges on the driver and passenger sides. Along with the "GMC" badge and the "SIERRA" badge that is on the tailgate? I have been wanting to do that for a long time now, but need advice. Am I going to have to get a new tailgate, or is there a way to get it off without leaving holes if so, please give me some advice. And as far as the side "SLE" badges can I heat them up and peel them off and use some goo-gone to get off the sticky residue, or is there some other way to do that?

Thanks in advance for the help and advice, and I look forward to sharing anything that I can with you guys in the future.

i just did this to my 2k2 sierra 2 weeks ago, all you have to do is take a blowdryer to it and peel it off or scrape it off w/ something that wont scratch your paint (i used an old credit card to get it started, then i peeled the rest off) if you have any remaining adhesive, just take some degreaser to it and rub it off (i used simple green)

if they are the ones that have the pegs on them to hold them on you will have to find a way to pop them off and then fill in the holes with bondo and touch it up
