1992 accord starting problem

i have a 92 honda accord lx, i purchased the vehicle juz a few months ago, lately it hasn't been starting regularly, it will turn over but it wont turn on, i leave the car for about 1 hr try again and it will turn back on right away, i have changed the rotor, distributor, spark plugs, plug wires, and it started turning on good, recently though, its been turning on and right when it turns on it will turn right back off like if not enough gas is flowing thru, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanx

check your fuel filters, they may be dirty, i found it helpful to push the throttle all the way down 2 times when u have the key in the ON position, then try it

Re: 1992 accord starting problem

This is a common problem with the early 90's accords. The problem is most likey the main relay under the dash. To fix it, get the relay out, then resolder the joints. The relay sends power to the fuel pump, if the relay has dry joints then the pump does not turn on when it is supposed to. Usually it happens when the interior is warm, so letting it sit for an hour would give it time to cool off, then it would start.
