87 Honda Civic Si running problemsplantmyfeet 10-11-2005, 12:49 PM I have a 1987 Honda Civic SI with starting/running problems. The acc. part of the ignition switch doesn't work and I think that relates to part of the cause. I try to start it and it starts but as I release pressure from the ign where the starter is actuated to the 'run' position of the ign sw. the engine dies. lxndr 10-15-2005, 04:02 AM You probably have a short in the ignition switch or a bad relay. Anyone else have any ideas? C'mon guys, I don't know all the answers. CRXGRETH 10-15-2005, 11:14 AM yeah id say that u have a bad ign switch. but i do knw that there is a realy or two in the wire harness that do control that stuff but id try a ign switch first. plantmyfeet 10-17-2005, 03:38 PM Checked it out and found that the ign sw is not working....... Thanks!!!!1 Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
