I was thinking about putting a cat back exhaust. I was thinking about 2.5 cat back w/resignator and a magnaflow muffler. What do you guys or girls think and is there a better muffler that one of you should suggest??
i was talking to a man who installs mufflers and he told me borla is over priced and really thin and they are stainless steal witch is a waste. i also was woundering what is the differance between the 2.0L, Supercharged - SS, Touring Corsa Exhaust System and the 2.0L, Supercharged - SS, Sport Corsa Exhaust System they are only 18 bucks in diff any one know?

I agree w/Junior. Borla is over priced, as for being thin material, I can't say.
I am a pro muffler installer and prefer Magnaflow myself. I just put one on my Chevy HD and I love it.
When a customer comes in looking for a set of Flowmasters, I end up talking them into a set of Magnas. The die-hard Mustang guys really believe in Flows (Flowmasters), and the ones that end up w/Magnas, can't believe how good the sound is. They don't sound like a hollow can. The "generic Flowmaster" that many shops are trying to push onto people are plain junk, so stay away from those. They are made in China (China-Flows), are made of thinner material, and the necks are over sized. They can't be clamped on, they have to be welded on. I had a customer bring me a set, so I know from experience.
As for the fart can? A 4-cylinder is going to sound like any other 4-cyl. If it's loud, it's loud. And if it's loud, it'll sound like a fart can.
The "fart cans" that I have seen usually have a 4" core and a big tip. If the cat-back tubing is 2 1/2", then use a Magnaflow w/a 2 1/2" core. The big tips look ok, but if you stick w/a smaller core muffler, it shouldn't sound like a fart can.
It's better to have a nice throaty sound than an obnoxiously loud noise maker. Adding a big tip just amplifies it even more.
Hey, I can check my Magna book and shoot you some part #s if you're interested.
my experience with a magnaflow catback was bad and i will never buy one again. i had a dual exhaust catback system on a 2000 z24. the exhaust was heavier then stock due to muffler thickness and it fit for shit. not to mention it was unbarably raspy and sounded like a poor quality exhaust system. also i didn't feel any power increase i probably made my car slower adding weight to it.

Hey I was checking out the flowmaster delta 60 (it's universal for sport compacts) wondering if anyone's heard it and how it might sound.... I don't have the money for a full system as I'm paying for an 07' with a job at McDonalds.
And also, what is the diameter of my exhaust pipe? (2007 LS w/ the 2.2) And I guess what size muffler am I looking at?
