On my 1994 jeep Grand cherokee, the back light to the cd player is out. Every once in awhile itcomes on butwill go out once i hit a hole or something. I know it is probably a loose wire but i was wondering if anyone knows which one andhow to fix it. any suggestions would be much appreciated.

If the player is OK and only the light is bad, then that narrows the problem to the light (and probably not the overall wiring harness for the CD player). If it's a light built into the CD player, I would recommend removing the player and inspecting the wires. I've replaced lights on the A/C console, and a similar method should work: Remove the unit (in this case the CD player); if all wires look OK, find out where the bulb sits (sometimes this requires taking things apart until you find the bulb), and check the bulb.
