I have a 1998 run of the mill neon, non ABS.

I had a problem with what I thought was a sticking caliper. Replaced the caliper with a new one, seemed fine. Every so often the passegers side front brake will jam on, smoek pouring out etc. The if I get in the next day, seems fine. Seems to be intermittent.

Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe the master cylender.

you could have a collapsed rubber line going to your caliper, it could act as a one way valve, check the condition of the line...good luck
