my jeep grand cherokee gets hot enough in traffic to cause the speed sensor to go bad. It gets about 250 degrees but seems to do ok when i'm on open highway. I have replaced the radiator, thermostat, fan, fan clutch, and had the system flushed. If someone has a solution please help. thanks

does it take long to warm up?

Sounds like you thermostat is stuck open, this usually causes the jeep to take longer to get up to temp. Try replacing your T-Stat or even switching to a cooler T-Stat (I currently run a 160 degree t-stat, stock is 195 degree, in my 94 5.2L).

You didn't mention changing the Water Pump. That may need to be replaced since it is the main component to circulate coolant. It may work "OK" at highway speeds, but have low flow at idle or in traffic.

Take Care,
