92-95 Civic Coil over - GC, Skunk2 or otherrcamacho 05-15-2002, 06:58 PM I'm considering dumping my Eibach Pro kit and going for either the GC or Skunk 2 kits. GC lists spring rates as 340/250 front/rear. Skunk2 rates as 400/300 front/rear. Both appear to be linear rate springs which should ride a lot firmer than the pro kit. Any positive/negative experience with these MFG's spring kits? I'm looking for an adjustable kit which will still ride decently on the street and not be a huge pain in the ass to adjust. The pro kit is simply too low in the front and too high in the rear. I'm bottoming out in the front on occasion and need .5-1" more front height to keep my transmission case and oil pan out of harm's way. onesojourner 05-15-2002, 07:24 PM are you serious the pro kit isnt low at all. you need to learn how do drive with a lowered car. i have the sportlines on a 93 ex and i never scrape. and the roads in my town are terrible. youve got to be the first one to ever get coilovers bc the prokit was to high seriously man reconsider. take drive ways at an angle you should not have any problems with bottoming out with that much of a drop. and if your still going to go through with it put the stock spring back on and get some nice adjastable shocks. rcamacho 05-15-2002, 07:44 PM I used to drive a 911 prepared for autocross, but never had the difficulties I've had with the Civic bottoming. The Porsche had higher spring rates and less front overhang, so that's probably the difference. Picrure of front attached. rcamacho 05-15-2002, 07:59 PM More photos. I agree that the pro kit is too high in the rear. In fact, I think that's part of the problem, it angles the nose down more than a level kit would. http://home.attbi.com/~racamach/images/MVC-413F.JPG http://home.attbi.com/~racamach/images/MVC-414F.JPG http://home.attbi.com/~racamach/images/MVC-415F.JPG rcamacho 05-15-2002, 08:15 PM Anyone have +/- experience with Arospeed coil overs? 450/350 rate and cheap. Looks like dual locking vs. single locking rings. 450P- front 350P- rear camacho_raul@hotmail.com wrote: What are the spring rates front/rear? -------------------- Question from: fastswitch Title of item: HONDA CIVIC 92-95 AROSPEED COILOVERS Seller: kr_merchandises Starts: May-13-02 00:44:13 PDT Ends: May-16-02 00:44:13 PDT Price: Currently $33.00 To view the item, go to: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1828866261 Visit eBay, The World's Online Marketplace TM at http://www.ebay.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!?
