Well.... Im back
well i had a new problem pop up ... My car was running great after i had the ignition mod tested and it was good... thought it was weird that the car would all the suddon just start running good and i didnt fix anything....well a new prob poped up.... i was leaveing to get some food for lunch, turned the ignition to start the car, got a really really loud click noise, and then nothing... no dummy lights, no nothing... turned it completely off and tried again and nothing... couldnt get the radio to turn on, no dummy lights, couldnt roll the windows up or down, couldnt eaven lock or un lock the doors... well i checked evry fuse, none blown, i work for an electroncs co, so i had one of the tech guys come out and had the test all kinds of stuff... 12.7 volts on the batt... i turned the head lights on too see if they work and my instrament cluster went nuts like the lights on a christmas tree, and you could hear all the relays clicking like like a finger snaping contest... thought that was verry strange, then tried to start the car and it fired rite up.... WTF!!!.... ok the only thing i can think of is the actual ignition switch steering column... well i havent had the prob since....errrrr

Re: Well.... Im back
could it be that turn signal switch? I know that if one of these goes bad, it can cause all sorts of wierd problems, but I've never heard of any "no start" issues concerning these. I dont really know. Is the service engine soon light on? Sounds like a wiring problem, maybe ignition switch.

Re: Well.... Im back
Make sure you have a real strong ground path from the battery, then check the cables at the jumpstart lug and the harness going to the power distribution box next to it.
You are either loosing ground altogether, or breaking primary positive power feed somewhere. Check the primary wires at the starter too.

well i went through the grounds once allready, that was one of the first things i did, eaven befor the ignition mod.... now it hasnt done it again yet either... maybe its a gremalin... I think im gunna get out the ol air ratchets and volt meter this sat and just start tearing into evrything... its definitly an electrical problem... may get a can of contact cleaner and clean all my realy contacts and battery posts, computer plugs, you name it.

Re: Well.... Im back
IF your vehicle has the vats key system, you may have a BCM going bad, which will cause starting problems and electrical gremlins. The other thing to check is your fuesable links and/or main fuse under the hood. the sound you heard may have been a fuse blowing.
