i hav an 87 crx si. i want to lower it and stiffen the ride (alot). i hav coilovers for the back of the car, but they dont make them for the front. in this gen the front suspension is setup with air shocks that hav no springs. to lower the 87 crx si i heard i had to adjust the front torsion bars, but will this stiffen the ride. i imagin it would if the air shock has less space to travel up and down, but will it bottom out easily. the only thing that i can think of to stiffen up the front suspension would be to put in just the shock and spring assembly from an earlier model honda or acura and adding coilovers. does anybody hav any ideaz??? if so which year and model would fit???

check out this link (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=199192), if you scroll down you'll see a long write up that lxndr did on lowering

Lowering the front won't really stiffen it, to do that you'll need to swap in 24mm or 27mm T-bars.
