Catback or muffler?roids87 09-19-2005, 12:34 AM With my '99 ram 1500 4x4 QC, should i go w/ a catback or just a muffler? Im looking for a deep rumble, thats significantly louder than stock. I realize a catback is alot more than a muffler would be, but would the gains be worth it? If i were to go w/ a muffler i would go w/ a Flowmaster 40 series, and im not sure what i would go w/ if i were to get a catback...what do u guys think i should do? BleedDodge 09-20-2005, 08:33 PM Huh? imtheoneandonlyD 09-21-2005, 12:50 AM Just go with full exhaust. Magnaflow hi-flow cat into dual outs. thats what ive got on mine and it sounds awesome. r00ster 10-08-2005, 07:32 AM glass packs are louder than flowmasters you may want to look into those good luck imtheoneandonlyD 10-09-2005, 01:55 AM glass packs are a waste of money, over time they just turn into a straight pipe due to carbon filling the holes. If your even thinkin of glass packs just go with straight pipes instead. fredjacksonsan 10-11-2005, 03:04 PM And why just buy a muffler for sound, when you can spend a bit more and get sound and performance? imtheoneandonlyD 10-11-2005, 10:50 PM And why just buy a muffler for sound, when you can spend a bit more and get sound and performance? :iagree: Why sounds like a badass and not be able to back it up? Go with something that will have a rumble to it but also give some HP numbers. Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
