Ok I'm think about buying a pair of Carrera
racing seats from http://www.seats4cars.com but i know I will have to replace the brackets and all that. I know they will fit and they better for $400 a seat. But does anyone know if they make racing seats exspeacially for ford escorts anywhere?

I don't know if there are any racing seats made directly for the Escort, but the best direct fit seats are those from a Mazda MX-3 Precidia. The MX-3 is on the same platform as the Escort, so MX-3 seats are a direct bolt-in fit...even the seatbelt sensor plug under the drivers seat is identical. The MX-3 seats sit much lower and are firmer and more bolstered, and one of the MX-3 model years (I think it was 1993), they had even firmer and more supportive seats with holes for a racing harness built right in. Some were even leather.
