My daughter has a 93 Tempo 4cyl. after she has driven it somewhere it idles very high after she puts it in park. It doesn't happen everytime. Maybe 40% of the time. Any ideas.

check the idle speed motor and clean the ports, also ohm test the throttle position sensor for smooth change in number values.

The idle speed motor is located on the side of your throttle body.
