Unhappy Grinding Noises

I have a 65 Monza, and today while drivng, I came to a stop and heard a horrible grinding noise coming from the front end. It continued to do this each time I began to move or came to a stop, and then the noise went away. Any thoughts? Perhaps brake issues.
Any input is much appreciated.

Re: Grinding Noises

Check to see if the brake shoes are shot. Second choice would be bad wheel bearings. If you want directions on how to check, email me.
