I have a 98 2.2 cavi .The problem is that it starts then shuts itself off. As long as I turn the key off then start It again it will start for 2 sec. then shut off again does anyone know what this is? I am going to put the car on a oval track and have already put in a fuel-cell and rollcage and stipped all I needed to and the car ran fine the whole time we where always checking it as we would pull stuff off now the car has sat for a week and the resultant problem has happened.Do I have to pull the codes to fix this?

sounds like the theft deterrent has kicked in. what all did you remove?

hey same thing happen to my car it called longtamper mode the paper that the dealer gave me it say to do is (ensure that the ignition switch remains in run until the theft indicator stops flashing make sure the keys stay ion run for 5 to 10 minutes or when it stops flashing) i did the same thing to my car and it run now so give it a try it i guss it relearn the car
