1998 318i Engine Code

I recently bought a code reader after 2 check engine lights. I'm getting the code for secondary air control. Is there a way to avoid this code by unplugging something. Also, is this an easy fix?

I did a google search and found this webpage. Something about emissions. Sorry, I know nothing about this and can prove it. Best of luck. I had a code on mine and went to my dealer, my parts guy was very helpful. He has even gone and checked with a mechanic before to make sure I was buying the correct part.
