rear suspension

Can anyone help a `newbee`.
I have a Fiesta xetec S on a `W` (2000) plate.
I would like to know why the rear suspension is slightly lower on the drivers side than it is on the passengers side. Both springs and shocks have been replaced with new ones, could it possibly be the big rubber unit on the elbow joining the rear axle, because it seems a little bit loose, I can move it up and down with a small crow bar, if it is this, is it replacable.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
