robertroth AF Newbie Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Marysville, Washington Posts: 1	1984 318i charging problem Just replaced the alternator, battery, and grounding straps on a 1984 318i but it's only registering 11 volts (tested that with 2 different volt testers). The excite wire connected to the alternator does not seem to be getting anything. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? Any advice? Thanks
