Car won't start after a short stop

Hello-

I posted a few weeks back that my 01 would not start after a drive-thru car wash. The guys jumped it; and the car started. Now yesterday after stopping for gas (after about a 20 min car ride) the car again would not start back up. Again it was jumped and went along fine for the rest of the day. The radio blinked "error" for about an hour; and then re-set itself. Any thoughts? Could it be the alternator? THe starter? The electical system? Thanks in advance.

I would start with the battery (unless its new), I would pull the battery, leave it at autozone so they can charge it up, then have them test the battery with a load (if you can charge it almost any mechanic should have a load tester).
If you can jump it and run it for several days without problems, I would say your alternator is probably good, but autozone can test that for you too, free test, you just have to take them off. Or if you have a volt meter you can test your alternator yourself, just test from battery cable to battery cable, a working altenator will have 13+ volts (with the car running of course).

I'd agree with Gmack on the battery. My wife had this problem too. Replaced the battery and no more troubles. XI
