87 GA SE misfire?

i have an 87 GA se v6 3L...
my car has recently been shaking back and forth very lightly and randomly at different times, but the shaking is very much noticable and more severe at other times. my exhaust has gotten much louder and it feels as if the car is missfiring. i checked to see if it is gettin spark to all coils and plugs and it is...but when i dissconnect one plug wire while the car is runnin it will remain runnin in the same condition.. when doin this with other plug wires the car will hardly run/wont run....also when startin the car there is a strong smell of gasoline... i am wonderin if it could be the crank sensor because we used a "mickey mouse" one for the last CS problem...it could be sendin a bad signal?? or? what do u guys suggest?
