Oil will only start to come out there if you have an overfilled tranny or it is overheating.
Have your transmission serviced with new fluid and a new filter.
Also check to see if the fluid is too high.

Hi, the transmission fluid level is fine (warmed up, in park, between the hash marks). I changed the fluid about a year and a half ago, 15,000 ago. The fluid looks clear, red and smells like new. It sure doesn't look overheated. My wife used to drive this blazer everyday and now she doesn't drive it at all. I drive it like 20 miles total on the weekend and it is fine for about 2 days, then it drips nice clear red fluid (about 1 foot diameter). It looks like it is coming from the manifold area. I can see the vent hose on top of the transmission, but I can't see where it connects to the HVAC system. Could there be a stuck valve on this vent hose?
Any new ideas would be appreciated,
Mike
