finally fixed my Silverado, and didn't need a exorsism!

And didn't need a catholic priest, thank god!

I noticed when I'd have the engine off but the radio on, that if I turned on the headlights and heater, the radio went off, turn the heater down, and the radio came back on so I decided to pull the radio and check the voltage when this happens, sure enough the voltage would drop to around 10v with the lights/heater on, but the voltage at the alt was 14v, so I took the ground strap off the body in the engine compartment and cleaned it, same thing. Then I ran a ground wire from the alt to the interior and as soon as I touched it to the body there was a small spark, knew right then it was a ground problem and checked the ground strap again and found it was very loose where it bolts to the engine at the bellhousing! Tried for about an hour to get it tightened up but can't really get to it so I just did a temp fix and ran a new strap from the motor to the body and everything is fine now! Voltage at the radio is great and it doesn't turn off anymore gauges all work again and no more dimming of the headlights! I guess I'll take it to a tranny shop and have them tighten that back bolt so I can take my wire off and it'll be ready to go finally !!!
