Question Cpi

I have a 92 S10 Blazer,4.3L W/CPU. I seen a lot of the fuel lines that go into the plenum spring leaks & also the (spider) inside give problems. Im not having problem yet(KOW),but know I will eventually. Where is best place to get these items & is there any alteranative such as switching over to throttle body!? I know these items are pricey,I know a switch will be pricey to but I plan to keep this vehicle a long time. Any help will be appreciated.
ps, wish I had gotten here earlier,,could have saved a lot of people some $$ on the hood hinge rattle!!!

Re: Cpu

Bought this stuff for mine at www.gmpartsdirect.com Shipping was way up there but the bottom line was still much cheaper than anywhere else. Have seen the injector on Ebay for much less, a marine application, same part number though. Different pricing schedule or something?

Re: Cpu

CPI injector = Autozone
Nut Kit and upper plenum gasket = dealer

Hey, I thought the gasket at AZ and Advance as well as possible others was a good one. Does it matter, Felpro is what I was going to get...

Re: Cpu

Heh, thought I would post this up here since my hunt for CPI parts has been long and hard.

CPI Injector Assembly (Poppet valves, regulator, injector (all inclusive) GM Part #17113673. AC/Delco Part #2171431 (Dealership price $495.14)

Nut Kit (Including brackets, O-rings, again all inclusive) GM Part #17112705 I was unable to locate an AC/Delco part number for cross reference. (Dealership price $82.02)

I have found the parts to rebuild my leaking, vintage CPI in my '95 Blazomatic at a parts store that the dealership recommened. They had the above parts IN STOCK for $426.53 (Including tax) for the CPI Injector Assembly and the Nut Kit. Going to be swapping this out as soon as a nice, chunky bonus for a project completed before deadline comes my way in another week. (Payroll's slow to get their butts in gear)

Re: Cpu

Rockauto had some of the better prices. However, I wanted someone I can throttle face to face if the parts break within their 1 year warranty. Can;t do that through mail order! And it would appear that the Nut Kit is no longer a dealer only item. The parts store that the dealership gets their parts from stocks the part, whereas the dealership didn't! *laugh* I spend $70 more picking it up locally, but nothing beats beating a counter-monkey with a wrench if it's junk in a box.
